SCO hosts first international Geotools symposion
13 November 2001
October saw the first international gathering of GeoTools developers.
The event, which included developers from the Centre for Computational Geography (CCG) , the TimeMap project and Social Change Online, took place in Sydney, Australia.
Predominantly, the event gave each group the opportunity to show what they were doing with GeoTools and what some of their future plans were.
A presentation on the past, present and future development of GeoTools was given, a copy of which can be found here.
Ideas were also thrashed out concerning the structure of GeoTools 2.0.
