Web Map Organiser

Map Organizer Overview (PDF)

Map Organiser v 1.0

The MapOrganiser makes it possible to store, manipulate, link and display geographic and non-geographic data in an integrated and comprehensive environment. Maps, documents, images, videos, web-sites etc. are organised and interrelated in a single container. Remember 80% of all data has a geographic association!

Spatial features selected by the user are automatically displayed on maps. Related points of interest, drawn from online multi media resources, are detailed on the same page. You don't waste any time trawling or surfing for interrelated information. MapOrganizers user friendly interface does it all for you.

All the informamtion is held within a "Location Organiser Folder" which manages the specific views created by the user.

The MapOrganizer allows you to:

  • Publish multi-media resources with interactive maps
  • Share, archive and retrieve your analysis with others - reducing duplication
  • Perform collaborative analysis using remote servers
  • Personalise your portal -so it is set to your preference

This application module includes the "Geographic Discovery Engine" so you can create a folder automatically by analysing documents or news channels.

Price and Availability

Map Organiser is based on the "Location Organizer Folder (LOF)" published as a discussion paper by the OpenGIS Consortium. We aim to release a generic product once this specification is adopted.

MapOrganiser is available now as a toolkit to customise applications of the WebMap Composer product. Please contact us to see how your sophisticated geospatial information analysis and organisation problem can be cost effectively addressed with this toolkit.
